Currently, Mr. Gilbert is working on a Rugeri inspired violin. This piece will be a 7/8ths in size and will be comfortable for those of a smaller frame or stature that sitll desire a violin with a sweet sound in either a chamber setting or orchestra.
For Sale is this 4/4 Gilbert Violin. It represents a structural copy of the 1699 Castelbarco Stradavarius model from the Library of Congress. Mr. Gilbert spent some time studying and measuring instruments from the Library of Congress and this is an interpretation of just one of the instruments found in the collection.
